Freeuse iPhone/Android App

Freeuse LeicesterShire is an online reuse service that provides an easy way to give unwanted items a new life, either by giving away items, or taking them. The App offers a simple way to advertise items you no longer want, or pick up items you need. All items are free and the App makes it easy for givers and takers to use.

What does the App do?

The App is designed to make it easier to give and take items on the Freeuse site. To add an item just take a photo of it and then complete the form giving details of the item. Once approved by our moderation team the item will go live on the Freeuse site and App. All you have to do now is wait for someone to get in touch with you to take your item.

To take an item all you have to do is search through the available items and when you see something that you would like, click on it and fill in the form indicating your interest in the item and send it to the giver. Then wait for the giver to contact you to arrange collection.

Who has provided the App?

The App is provided by the Leicestershire Waste Partnership. The partnership is made up of the seven Leicestershire Districts or Borough Councils and Leicestershire County Council. Leicester City Council is also an associate partner.

Which platforms is the App available for?

The Freeuse App is now available for both iPhone and Android devices. Simply search for 'Freeuse' in the respective App Store for your device.

Users of smart-phones without a native App can browse a mobile friendly version of the website that mirrors the features of the App for an easier browsing experience.
