How to give an item
Giving an item is easy!
Simply place an advert on this website and wait for someone who wants your item to contact you. Freeusing means your old item will have a new home instead of going to landfill.
Simple steps to giving an item
1 - Select 'Start Giving - List your item' below.
2 - If you are new to freeuse you will need to register. This is easy and secure, and means your details will be saved ready for giving again in the future. Once you’ve registered you will be taken to the ‘add item’ page.
3 - Fill out the details on the ‘add item’ form - you’re more likely to find someone who wants your item if you add a picture. After you submit the form, we will review your item to make sure it meets out Terms and Conditions then add the listing will go ‘live’. We guarantee to do this by the end of the next working day.
Now sit back and relax...
All you have to do now is wait for someone to get in touch with you to take your item. When it’s been taken by another Freeuser, or if you decide you want to keep the item or dispose of it another way, you can go back to your item listing and change the ‘status’.
This will take the item off the website and means that no-one else will contact you about it. When you’re logged in, you will see how much (in kilos) you’ve saved from going to landfill – this is based on the items you have listed which have been Freeused. That’s it – you’re now a fully-fledged Freeuser!
